Some thrive on interaction, others prefer observation, and many lie somewhere in between.

The creator
Do you constantly post new content, always looking for ways to entertain, inspire, or inform your audience? The Creator is all about production—whether it’s photos, videos, blogs, or social posts, Creators live for the next upload.
Strengths: Creativity and consistency. Creators often build large, engaged followings thanks to their content output.
Challenges: Burnout is real! Constantly needing to churn out new ideas can be exhausting.
The observer
This personality type prefers to sit back and take everything in. Observers may not post much themselves, but they consume tons of content—scrolling through feeds, liking posts, and quietly gathering information.
Strengths: Observers are often great at noticing trends before they explode, giving them a unique perspective on what works.

Strengths: Engagement. Commentators are often seen as approachable and authentic, fostering strong relationships with their followers.

The curator

Ever the extrovert, the Social Butterfly is here for the connections. These users are all about networking, chatting in DMs, commenting on everything, and sharing glimpses of their social lives. For them, it’s not just about content—it’s about people.
Strengths: Relationships. Social Butterflies are skilled at building large, interactive networks.
Challenges: Over-engagement can lead to shallow interactions, and it’s easy to get swept up in the validation game.
The lurker
Quiet and unassuming, the Lurker rarely interacts but is always present. They scroll through their feed, keeping tabs on everyone without ever leaving a trace—no likes, no comments, just silent observation.
Strengths: Lurkers are often deeply informed, as they consume vast amounts of content without bias or pressure to engage.
Challenges: A lack of interaction can lead to feelings of isolation or missed opportunities for connection.
So, which one are you?
Chances are, you may see yourself in more than one of these personalities. We’re not always just one thing, after all. Your social media persona can also evolve over time as you change, grow, or adapt to new platforms.
Why does it matter?

If you’re more of a Curator, use your knack for finding great content to share with your audience. Each personality has strengths to be maximized and challenges to be managed.
